To Cannon Beach (June 18, 2009)

Chris and I planned to be at Cannon Beach for sunset on the 18th, so we drove down
I-5 until Kelso, WA, then along the Columbia River toward the coast on the
Washington side. We stopped to see a covered bridge that ended up being pretty cool
inside where the sun was coming through the knot holes in the wood. We then went
to the coast and down over the Astoria bridge to Cannon Beach. The sunset didn't
show many colors, but the town was a cute touristy town that had lots of beach style
shops and galleries.

Moss on the outside of the covered bridge.

We had to watch out for cars every so often.

Me and Chris in the bridge.

Before going into Oregon, we checked out a view of the southern tip of Washington
on the coast. We could see the Astoria bridge, but barely. Here is a view of the
lighthouse at Cape Disappointment State Park.
