For my birthday this year, Brooke and her parents got me a tour of Seattle by air from Kenmore Air, a large float plane airline based in Seattle. I was excited to go on the flight, but as we waited for good weather, we'd get busy working on the house and forget to book the flight. Seems like every time we remembered, the weather was bad. But the timing finally worked out, and we found the perfect day to go.
It ended up being Brooke and I and two other people on the tour which lasted about 30 minutes. We took off from Lake Union in Seattle and made our way over Lake Washington, then circled back over the University campus, down to the Space Needle, and out over Puget Sound a ways. On the way back towards downtown we flew over Alki Beach, and made our way back to Lake Union. The tour was a lot of fun. It was really cool to see Seattle and the surrounding area from a different viewpoint.
