Olympic national parK

February 3-4, 2009

Brooke and I decided to take a trip to the Olympic Coast for her birthday. We drove around the south side of the park and stopped at a couple beaches, including the popular Ruby Beach, before getting to Mora Campground and setting up camp. We had the entire campground to ourselves, there wasn't a single other person there. We headed over to Second Beach for Sunset. Turned out to be a great sunset too! We hiked back to the car in the dark and headed back to camp to cook dinner.

In the morning we drove over to the Hoh Rainforest and hiked around for a while taking pictures. There was still some snow on the ground in places which surprised me. I guess it hadn't occured to me that it snowed there. We headed back to Second Beach for sunset again. And again, it didn't dissapoint. After another dark hike back to the car, we drove home around the North side of the penninsula.
