Since Charlie had such a great time on our hike last weekend, we decdied to take him out again for a nice long hike. We ended up heading up to Carne Mountain. It was a nice 8 mile round trip with 3,600 ft of elevation gain and gave us a great view of the surrounding valleys and mountains. There were a lot of fall colors putting on a show as well. There were yellow, orange, and red leaves down in the valleys and the needles on the Larch trees up higher were bright yellow. The weather was perfect, with plenty of sun and blue sky. Unfortunately the trail was very dry and dusty, and by the end of the day Charlie was filthy. He didn't seem to mind though...
