With the weather forecast looking good for Sunday, Brooke and I decided to climb Mount Defiance. I had read that you get some really great views from up there, so it sounded like a good day to go. We got a somewhat late start, and we weren't sure what the snow conditions would be like, so we weren't sure if we'd make it to the summit or not. Turns out the snow was just soft enough, which was good since we didn't bring our ice axes or crampons. We made good time after leaving the trailhead at 12:30 and reached the summit at 3:30. After some pictures and a snack we headed down and were back at the car before dark. It turned out to be a great hike with great views in all directions.
